Roan Lyle, LMP
Roan graduated with honors from Seattle Massage School and is a proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Roan has been a practicing deep tissue, treatment, and integrated deep tissue modalities massage therapist in the state of Washington since 1999. Roan is regularly expanding her offering of modalities with a stern commitment to continuing education. Her clients describe her work using words such as, restorative, invigorating, rejuvenating, freeing, intuitive, and highly focused. Modalities which influence her work include, yet are not limited to; deep tissue therapies such as Neuromuscular Therapy and Neuromuscular Reeducation, myofascial therapies, trigger point work, Russian Sports methods, Orthopedic Treatment work, Thai Massage, Yoga based massage, and many many more.

Seeking balance has been a theme in Roan’s life since a very young age. A “spirited child” she was enrolled into ballet classes and gymnastics at the age of four. That combined with monkey bar antics, love for skateboarding as a teen, and finally joining several ballet, opera, modern dance, and multi-media performance companies from her late teens until she retired in her early thirties, led Roan on a life long journey to understand her own physicality. Anatomy, Kinisiology, and Physiology were her books of choice, and when not in rehearsal, Roan spent hours reading to understand the very intricate inner workings of the human body. Wear and tear on her body as a dancer is what led her into the hands of her first experience with massage. It also lead her into the hands of the person who would inspire what was and is her second and most fulfilling career to date. “I loved to dance, but I feel honored to be a massage therapist”. Her final dance works happened in Seattle as did her training, certification, and licensing in massage therapy. In Roan’s opinion, each massage proves to be both, a learning and healing process for both she and her client.
